<br />Minutes of the Regular Iieeting <br />February 15, 1965 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Ro11 Call: Present - lqessrs Shaw, Bennett,.Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. • <br />The biinutes of the Regular Meeting of January 18, 1965, were .then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the Niinutes <br />of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bentiett,Wallcer,Nlason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. Motion carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />D4ayor Endress then asked for reports from the Committees. Mr. Sloan, <br />? reporting for the Archi-tectuLal Board of Review, said that they had approved <br />one residence. D4r. 33ennett, reporting for the Building Committee, said that <br />there was no action from this Committee; that they only had one, specification <br />returned and the Building Committee would like to re-advertise, as this bid <br />was too large, that the bid for galvanized building was $29,608.00 and for <br />an enamel building $30,188.00, ancl these were away over the money we had to <br />spend. Mr. Bennett said they would like to rejec-t all bids and check with <br />the people on the committee and re-advertise. It was then moved by A4r. Shaw, <br />secorided by Nir. Nlason, that Council reject these bids. . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Nlessrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Bids rejected <br />• ? <br />The Clerk then reported that he had rECeived two bids f or $25,000,00 <br />of General Obligation Bonds ( A4unicipal Building Bon.cis of 1965), one from <br />Magnus and Company f or 3-5/8% interest and $113.50 premium, the other from <br />McDonald and Company f or 3-7/8% interest and no premium. <br />Mr. Shaw, seconcleci by °Mr. -Walker -j then -introduced Resolution No. 631 <br />entitled; "A Resolution accepting the highest bid for $25,000.00 General <br />Obligation Bonds upon the lowest rate of interest by a r.esponsible bidder", <br />which resolution was read to Council. . <br />It was moved by ti1r. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the rules of <br />law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspencled. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, G]alker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />1.
