<br />Minutes of the Regular Nleeting ' <br />April 19, 1965 <br />The Council of the Village of Alayfield met in Regular Nieeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8;00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding, <br />Roll Call; Present - Messrs Shaw,Sennett,Wallcer,Mason,Sloatt & Belzer. <br />Absent - -None. <br />The Niinutes of the regular meeting of March 15, 1965, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Nir. Niason, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the <br />Minutes of the regular meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Wallcer,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Mation carried <br />idinutes Approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked for reports from the Committees. Mr. Sloan, <br />reporting for the Architectural Boarc7, said that they had a problem; that i:hey <br />had received several plans for a building at the last two meetings and which the <br />Board had not approved. The Building has been put up and the chimney built <br />and no building permit secured; the building has been started and stopped <br />without a building permit and this is out of the scope of the board's juris- <br />diction. The footers f or the chimney are on blocks laid flat and does not <br />show any footers at all. ASr. Wieland said that he could not say whether <br />there were fooi.ers or not as it was built without his seeing it; that the <br />only thing that could be done now was to have the man dig it up and see if <br />there are footers there. Council then said that N1r. Wieland should have him <br />dig this up as he does not have a building permit. <br />Mr. Bennett, reporting for the Building Committee, said that Mr. <br />Wieland would lilce to secure a floor scrubber and polisher; the committee then <br />recommended that Mr. Wieland be authorized to purchase one at Sears, which <br />could be had for $165.95. It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, <br />that Mr. Wieland be authorized to purchase a floor scrubber and polisher. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,47alker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. a <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Bennett also said that the Service Department needed a vacuum <br />cleaner_, that it was getting impossible to sweep the building any more. Mr. <br />Bennett said they wished a vacuum with a bushel capacity, whicli would cost <br />about $180.00. It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Dir. Bennett, that Mr. <br />Wieland be authorized to purchase a Vacuum Scaeeper. <br />1.
