Company, Inc. f or $19,010.00 and $729.00 for enamel. The McGinty bid being <br />the lowest, Mr. Sloatt, seconded by Nr. Belzer, then introduced Ordinance No. <br />883 entitled: "An Ordinance Accepting the Bid of McGinty Building Company, <br />Incorporated, f or the Construction of a Service Building", which ordinance <br />was read to Council. , . <br />It was moved by Mre Mason, seconded by I4r. Shaw, that t).Ze rules of law <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions: be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw,, that Ordinance No. <br />883 be approved and passed as r.ead. . Roll Ca11; Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Nloti.on carried <br />? . :Ordinance Passed <br />As a color, Council then chose Sandalwood siding and a white roof. <br />Mr. Glalker, reporting for the Welfare Department, had nothing to report. <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said that <br />they had met on April 5, 1965; at which time Mr. Shortle had presented a <br />proposal for additiottal street lights. The proposal would place mQrcury arc <br />lights at each intersection where they do not exist. ,The Safety Committee then <br />' recommended that we adopt this proposal if the money in the street lighting <br />f und permitted. As we have not received any street lighting money as yet and <br />all the bills are not in from the Illuminating Company, Council tabled this <br />matter • f or the next meeting. , . <br />m1r. Gilmore then spolce to Council of an Insurance Plan covering our <br />police and other employees which would tai:e the place of Blue Cross. Mr. <br />Gilmore compared his plan with the present Blue Cross coverage now being paid <br />for by the Village Employees. This plan would cost 14 to 17 dollar.s over what <br />the men are now paying. M r. Short-le s-a.id that none..of his.men were in the <br />marlcet at this time for more insurance and the Village would have to pay the <br />bill if they embarlced on this program. After a great deal of discussion and <br />much deliberation, Council decided against this insurance plan. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Shaw, then introduced Ordinance No. 884, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance to Enter Into a Contract With Martha Wiece f or <br />Telephone Answering Service°", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Mason, that the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />3.
