<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />August 16, 1965 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met in Regular Meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. . <br />Roll Call: Present - Nlessrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 19, 1965, were then read to <br />Council. It"was moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mayor Ettdress then aslced f or reports f rom the Committees. Mr. Sloan, <br />reporting f or the Architectural Board, said that they had met and approved plans <br />f or three homes and one commercial building. <br />? <br />Mr.. Bennett,reporting f or the Building Committee, said that there was <br />nothing new to report on the Service Garage, that the grass will be planted <br />soon and they will be ready to lock up. <br />There was nothing to report f rom the Welf are Committee. <br />Mr. Belzer, reportirig f or the Safety, and Service Committee, said tha,t <br />they had met on August 2nd, and had a general discussion on Swimming Pools attd <br />that the Safety and'Service Committee recommended that the Archi_tectural,Board <br />review all swimming pools. Mr. Edelman then rules that the Architectural Board <br />had to approve the plans as an accessory building. Mr. Belzer said that Chief <br />Shortle had asked for an ordinance on the parking of trailers; that we had an <br />ordinance but it should be more specif ic. Mr. Edelman said that he would check <br />on this ordinance and have recommendations. Mr. Belzer said that rir. Porter <br />would make inspections on,four homes and list the violations)and send the report <br />to Mr. Edelman. Mr, Bennett suggested that an ordinance be p'assed on dug wells <br />on vacant or unused property and that they be filled because of their danger to <br />children. Mr. Edelman said that he would prepare an ordinance covering this. <br />There were also complaints about stagnant water on White Road. Mayor Endress <br />caill look into this and have it taken care of. <br />Mr. Mason, reporting f or the Zoning and Planning Commission, said that <br />there was no meeting as they had no quorum. Several people f rom Sandalwood <br />were present, protesting the proposed Medical Building on Saridalwood. Mr. <br />Mason said that all they could do was listen to some of their objections. Mr. <br />Kaplan was also present and talked with these people. Mr. Mason did not know <br />if a solution had beeh arrived at as yet. Mr. Kaplan then remarked that <br />nothing had been resolved. <br />1.
