Mr. Shaw, reporting for the Finance Committee, said that the Committee <br />had had a meeting with a11 of Council and had discussed Village Finances and <br />had some stuff f rom the Police f or future study. Mre Shaw said that he would <br />set up a regular meeting night the same as the other committees now have, <br />probably on a Monday. Mr. Shaw said that the bills were 0. K. and it was moved <br />by Mra. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that Pay Ordinance No. 504-P be approved <br />and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Shaw said that the Committee requested that department heads pass on <br />all purchases from the stores.and that we still owe Mr. Edelman money for one <br />of our suits. The question of our rubbish bid then came up and Nr. Bennett said <br />that he had seen Mr. Quigley and he was supposed to have a contract ready for <br />saturday. <br />NIr. Edelman then reported that we had placed a conflict of interest <br />ordinance on its first reading. Mr. Edelman then read this ordinance to Council <br />and it was placed upon its second reading. It was then moved by Mr. Shaw, <br />seconded by Mr. Mason, that the rules of law.requiririg an ordinance to be read <br />on three separate occas <br />Roll Call: Ayes ions be suspended. <br />- Messrs Shaw9 Bennett, Walker, <br />Mason, Sloan & Belze'r. <br />Nays - None. . <br /> `Motion carried <br /> ' Rules Suspended It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that Ordinance No. 9029 <br />entitled: "An Ordinance Relating to Conflict of Tnterest and Prescribing a <br />Penalty for,Violation" be approved and passed as read. <br />Ro.11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Endress then reported that he had letters from the School Board <br />on the matter of sidewalks on Ridgebury Boulevard; that he had checkecl with <br />Mayfield Heights and they were going ahead with legislation to put in sidewalks <br />on the South side of Ridgebury; that they still do not have'the side lot <br />portions and the Village will pay the cost on Ridgebury f acing i:he side streets <br />and are going ahead and assess part of the corner lot; that they expected to <br />pass the legislation at their September meeting. The schoo.l board is p'ressing <br />everybody. Mr. Sloan then asked why they did not press for sidewalks f rom <br />Eastgate to the old High School. Mayor Endress then tried to appoint Mr. Sloan <br />as a Committee but said that they would probably hear about it. Mr. Edelman <br />said that this talces time and spoke of two ways. <br />2.
