Mayor Endress then took up the matter of a traff ic light at Lander and <br />Ridgebury; that we had passed an ordinance agreeing to pay one-fourth of the <br />cost of the lite. 1vlayor Endress said that since then he had received a phone call from <br />Nlayfield Heights and they had received two bids, one from Signal Service for <br />$1,169.20 and the other f rom Associated Systems, Inc. f or $1,094.00 and the cost <br />of a pole for $240.00, Playor Endress said tha1: Ivlayfield Heights was awarded the <br />contract of Signal Service and our cost would be about $292.30, <br />Mr, Peterson was then asked to explain where we stood on the Worton Park <br />Paving. Pir, Peterson said that the Contractor had received and signed the <br />contract and would commence in about tcoo weeks; unless the weather proved <br />unusually mild it cannot be done until Spring. The Contractor would do all the <br />drainage work and have the GTinter to solidify properly. <br />Mr. Edelman then reported i:hat the Regional Planning Commission had. <br />submit-ted a contract =or the second phase of the master plan f or our Village; <br />that government funds were now available; that there was a slight increase in <br />the cost. The overall cost being $6255.00 and in addition the state has a <br />service fee of ?2.34.00. The Federal Government cannot pay this and it is <br />theref ore necessary f or Council to authorize $154.00 above the $2500.00. Nir, <br />Edelmatt then read their contract to Council again. Mra Mason, seconded by rire <br />Belzer, then introduced Ordinance Nom 913, entitled: "An Ordinance Approving <br />a Contract With the Regional Planning Commission and the Ohio Development <br />Departmetlt ror the Second Phase of a Comprehensive Piattning Program and <br />Committing Funds f or Such Purpose", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that the rules or law <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended, <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Niason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Niason, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that Ordinance No. 913 <br />be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None, <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinaace Passed <br />Mr. Edelman said that he had nothing further on the Zeppelmeier case and <br />,Mayor. Endress"said that he would like to get ini:o the records a letter received <br />Uy Mr. Edelman from Charles A. Niman regarding this matter. Mayor End-ress . <br />then read the letter to Council. Mr. Niman reported in the letter that-all <br />papers with regard to the leage and the chain link fence had been received f rom <br />Mr. Zeppelmeier and that the delay was in the offices of the Sun Oil Company; <br />that hesaw no reason to believe that the matter would not be consummated as <br />originally planned. Mr. Edelman said that by October lst, they should geL <br />going on it. <br />3.
