Mayor Endress then read the reports from the various departments to <br />Council. . <br />Mayor Endress then appointed_.Mr..Nicho,las G. Giesse of 1112 Washington <br />Boulevard, Mayfield.Heights., Ohio, as School_Guard, It was then moved by Mr. <br />Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that this appointment be approved. ` <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . _ . . . , , , <br />Motion carried <br />Appointment Conf irmed <br />Mayor Endress then.appointed John Spear Jay of 6121 Ridgebury Boulevard <br />to the Auxiliary Police Unit. It was then moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. <br />Mason, that this appointment be conf irmed. .. , , <br />Ro.ll Call: Ayes - Messr.s Shaw., Ben.nett,Mason, Sloan & Belzero <br />Nays - None. <br />biotion carried <br />. Appointment Confirmed <br />Mayor Endress then appointed Mr. John R. Cotton of 6826 Meadowwood Drive <br />to the Tire Department. It was moved by Mr.Mason, seconded by rir. Sloan then remarked that two months ago he had brought to the <br />attention of Council the fact that the ditches on White Road needed cleaning, <br />Mayor Endress said?:that he had tried to get in touch with his contact at the <br />Board of Health but f ound that he was on vacation until Labor Day; that he <br />would check with,him again this_week. Mr. 51oan then recommended.a meeting <br />with Council and the Regional Planning Commission to,find out th.e? possibility_,., <br />of having the Park Board sell off their frontage on -S:ORoad •to 'increase <br />our tax income. Mr.. Sloan again reiterated that this"matter shQUld be pursued. <br />Mr..Mason again brought up the subject of the sidewalks on Wilson Nlills <br />I2oad, Mr. Peterson said that he was going to check and see if the work had <br />been completed. Mr. Wieland said that he had not checked yet, but outside of <br />one test, he did.not know anything else that was wrong; that he had no wrench <br />to take off the cap on the sidewalk. Mayor Endress said that he should hire , <br />one, Mr...Peterson sai.d Mr. Wieland should buy one and charge to the bonding <br />companya <br />. . . . . . _ , ? , , ,4.
