<br />Most of the seats in the Town Hall were occupied by residents North of <br />Wilson Mills. These people had just received estimated assessments of their <br />share in the contemplated sewage disposal plant proposed to be built in Richmond <br />Heights. The people were frightened at the amount of these assessments and felt <br />that the Mayor and Council should do something about them. Mayor Endress spoke <br />of the public hearing to be held by the County Commissioriers to hear complaints <br />and said that this matter should be taken up at this hearing. The people, <br />however, felt that Council and the Mayor should do something immediately and <br />Mayor Endress was asked if he could be looked to for guidance in this matter, <br />Mayor Endress and Mr. Edelman both cautioned the people that they must each <br />send in his own objection within the prescribed time. Mr. Edelman explained <br />that he could not represent them and a great number of the audience then began <br />to shout at Council fo'r their sentiments in the matter, most of them asking <br />f or a poll of Council. Nir. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Shaw, then made a motion <br />that Council should state whether they were in favor of or against the assessing <br />of the North Village residents for the Richmond Sewage Disposal Plant. <br />Roll Call for this Assessment: None <br />Against this assessmentm Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />There being no further business to comp, <br />and duly put, Council adjourned.
