Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />October 18, 1965 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met in Regular Meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presidittg. ' <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 20, 1965, were then <br />read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked for reports from the Committees. Mr. Sloan, <br />reporting for the Architectural Board, for the months of September and October, <br />said that they had approved plans f or one new garage with dormer attached and <br />one new split level. <br />Mr. Bennett, reporting f or the Building Committee, said that they were <br />running short of money but had the new sesvice garage winterized so that every- <br />thing was safe; that the Committee would hold off on anything else until money <br />was available. <br />Mr. Walker said that he had nothing to report for the Welf are Committee. <br />Mre Belzer, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said that <br />they had met on October 4th, 1965, and that Mr. Shortle had asked for a traffic <br />light on Zander Road at the School entrance, costing in the neighborhood of <br />twelve hundred and ninety dollars; that Mayor Endress was going to check with <br />the County and see whether the road could be widened at this point for a left- <br />hand holding lane. Mayor Endress at this point said that he had checked with <br />Mr. Dollard at the County off ice and Mr. Dollard was not very receptive, but <br />said that he would check into the matter and see if it was needed and then let <br />the Village know. <br /> Mr.. Belzer said that Fire Chief Porter questioned whether we were going <br /> to purchase oil by the drum or lot. Mr. Belzer then reported that the Committee <br /> recommended that the Fire Department purchase two hundred feet of hose to replace <br /> their old hose; this would cost about $157.00e It was then moved by Mr. Bennett, <br /> seconded by Mro Mason, that the Fire Department be authorized to purchase two <br /> hundred feet of f ire hose at a cost of $157.00. <br />1.
