Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motzon carried <br />Mr. Belzer then reported that Mr. Wieland wanted a Citizens Band Mobile <br />and Base for the Service Department trucks. Mro Wieland would need four units <br />at $125,00. This request was tabled f or the time being, as the matter would have <br />to be discussed by the SaFety and Service f irst. Mre Belzer 8aid that the <br />Committee had discussed the need o£ a phone in the Service Garage and Mr. Wieland <br />was checking on the cost. Mr. Mason then recommended that we transfer the phone <br />from the Town Hall. There was no action taken on this matter. Mr. Wieland <br />pointed out that our 1266 line was now in such heavy use that the additional <br />lines were needed. <br />Mayor Endress had asked that a survey be made on street lights and the <br />approximate cost. Mr. Shortle said that he had nothing on the matter as yet. <br />Council then discussed this matter and May6r Endress said that:the citizens <br />should canvas the street and see if the neighbors wanted street lights. <br />Mr. Mason, reporting for the Planning and Zoning Commission, read their <br />Minutes to Council. Mr. Sloan said that he did not agree with the statement <br />that the home owners made a suggestion; that none of them seemed to recall <br />that they had made any suggestions; and that it was the owner of the lot who <br />had made these suggestions and that this was just putting words in someonets <br />mouth. Mr. Sloan said that Mr. Kaplan made the suggestion. <br />0 e-T ' <br />Mr. Mason then read the Minutes of the Special Meeting of S'e'? <br />11, 1965, Mr. Sloan sai?l that with reference to the two lots that the people <br />said that they would go along with the suggestion provided the entrance was off <br />SOM Road and that this would have to be corrected itt the Zoning and Planning <br />Minutes. <br />Mr. Shaw, reporting for the Finance Committee, said that they had looked <br />over the bills and f ound the;. Pay Ordinance to be correct. It was then moved <br />by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Pay Ordinance No. 506-P be approved <br />and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messss Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. - <br />Motion carried- <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Shaw then cautiotted the Department Heads that they should consider <br />all purchases bef ore making them and then okay all bills and purchases f rom any <br />other persons in their department. ' <br />Mre Shaw-then brought out'the fact that one of our Police'Cars had <br />racked up 90,000 miles and that we were going to have to consider-a replacement. <br />Since this process takes time, Mr: Shaw recommended that we draw up specifications <br />and advertise and see what we get. This is the car that has been used for radar <br />and undercover work. It was then moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mra Walker, <br />that we advertise for bids for the purchase of a new Police Car and sell the Sedan. <br />2.
