Mr. Mason then reported on a Resolution passed by the Village of Highland <br />Heights, rescinding the authority given to the County to make plans and specifi- <br />cations for a sewer., Mr. Mason felt that it might clarify the :situation if we _ <br />did likewise. Mayor Endress then reported that in the Minutes of June, 1960, it <br />stated that we deleted construction costs and the cost of the plans in our ordinance, <br />so that we have no ordinance or resolution with the County asking them to construct <br />a sewer; we merely asked them to prepare plans and specif ications and estimates <br />of cost. Mayor Endress said that we cannot repeal anything with the County because <br />we have nothing to.repeal. Mr. Mason said that this resolution might g.ive the <br />standing of Council on the affair. Mr. Mason then read the Resolution passed by <br />Highland Heights to Councila Mr. Mason then read an ordinance which he had - _. <br />prepared patterned after the Resolution by Highlattd Heights and which Mr. Edelman <br />had drawn up. Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Walker, then introduced Resolution No. <br />661 entitled; "A Resolution Requesting that the Commissioners of Cuyahoga County <br />not Proceed at this Time With the Proposed Sanitary Sewer Treatment Facilities <br />For,the.Village of Mayfield°" which resolution was read to Council. 'It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the rules of law <br />resuiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspendede <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Ru1es Suspended <br />. . ? - . <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Resolution No. <br />661 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer, <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mayor Endress then read the reports f rom the various departmentsa <br />.
