It was then moved <br />by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Pay Ordinance No. 507-P be approved <br />attd passed as read, <br />Roll Callt Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, SYoan & Belzer. <br />, Nays - None. _ <br />Mot'ion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Shaw said that the Finance.Department would like the Fire Department <br />to have their hose as he thought this matter rather vital. Mr. Shaw also <br />spoke of our loan f rom the bank and as we now have our tax money that it should <br />be paid. This would save $35.00 at each <br />changeover. Mayor Endress said that the Safety Committee should go over <br />this and recommended that they get right after it. This would mean phasing <br />in our police mobiles as they reach minimum 1ife. <br />The Clerk then reported that he had received just one bid for a new <br />police car f rom Newman Pontiac f or $2000 and our old car. Mr. Belzer, 'seconded <br />by Mr. Shaw, then introduced Ordinance No. 914, entitled: "An Ordinance to <br />Purchase a New Police Automobile From Newman Poatiac, Inc.", which ordinance <br />was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Ca11:.Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />2.
