This resolution was then placed upon its f irst reading.' <br />The lawyer for the Neroni Development Co. then asked Council f or <br />conditional apgroval of their plans so that they could go ahead and it could be <br />taken up again at the January 3rd meeting.. Mayor Endress said that -the developers <br />were asking for quite a bit, as two newly elected Councilmen would be sitting in <br />on the January 3rd, 1966, meeting; that he did not see that Council was responsible <br />f or any delaye:=.Mr. Shaw said that,this.was.a;very,critical and.very dangerous <br />situation. No action was taken by Council. <br />Mayor Endress then read the reports f rom the various departments. <br />Mro Mason then spoke of oversized trucks coming up Worton Park Boulevard <br />f or a Mayfield Heights project. . <br />Mayor Endress then thanlced Council and said that they had made his job <br />as Mayor easier; that this included the Council, the Treasurer, the Clerk, the <br />Engineer, and the So].icitor; that it behooves Council and the new men to get' <br />at any new problems and do not let those with private interests do something that <br />will do harm to the Village later on, Mrm Shaw remarked on the fact that it was unusual that at.this time the <br />Mayor, the Clerk, the Treasurer: and a member of Council are all retiring from <br />offiee at the same time after years of service to the Village. The f ollowing <br />Resolution was introduced by Mr. Shaw, seconded bg Mr. Walker, and unanimously <br />passed by vote of Council; . <br />"WHEREAS, Clarence H. Endress has been Mayor of the Village of,- <br />Mayfielcl. for a period of 11 years and before that served as a_ member. <br />of. Council; and <br />"T,n1HEREAS, Richard F. Godfrey has served as Clerk of the Village <br />of Mayfield for over a dozen years and has served on Council; and <br />"WHEREAS, Walter M. Rogers has served the Village in the capacity <br />of Treasurer f or a great number of years ; and <br />"WHEREAS, Leslie G.
