Mr. Shaw informed Council tha-t the Regional Planning Commission will <br />meet with the Village Planning and Zoning Commission at a special meeting on <br />February 23, 1966y at 8:00 P. M. <br />Mr. Shaw, reporting f or the Finance Committee, stated that a meeting was <br />held on February 16, 1966, and read the Minutes of that meeting. <br />The contract with the Regional Planning Commission, at an indicated cost <br />od $2,539.00, was discussed, and it was recommended that actiott be postponed <br />until after the meeting with the Regional Planning Commission. Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Sloan, introduced Ordinance No. 510-P. It <br />was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that said Ordinance be passed <br />as read. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed \ <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mre Davis, introduced Ordinance No. 937, entitled: <br />"An Ordinance Providing for the Employment of Legal Counsel for the Village of <br />Mayfield", which ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, <br />seconded by Mr. Busa, that the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read <br />on three separate occasi_ons be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. , <br />Tlotion carried <br />' Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Shaw, moved that Ordinance No. 937 be approved <br />and passed as read. , <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Nlessrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloatt & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Arnold M. Edelmatt was appointed as the Solicitor at $3,300,00 per year. <br />Mr. Edelman thanked the Council f or, the ordinance, saying that he looked <br />forward to serving the Village for the nineteenth year as Solicitor, and that <br />it was a pleasure and an honor to serve in this capacity. <br />Police Chief Shortle requested permission to attend the F. B. I. National <br />Academy Re-Training Session to be held in New York?City, Ju1y 4th through 7th,: <br />1966, at an estimated cost of $250.00, and,the annual meeting of the Inter- <br />national Association of Chiefs of Police to be held in Philadelphia, Oct.ober <br />lst through 6th, 1966, at an estimated cost of $280.00e <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Davis, then introduced Resolution Noe 668, <br />entitled: "A Resolution Authorizing Payment of Expenses of Police Chief <br />William Atthur Shortle for Attendance at the F.B.
