<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />July 18, 1966- <br />The Regular Meeting of the Council of the Village of Mayfield was called <br />to order by Mayor Bennett at 8;00 P. M. <br />The Clerk-Treasurer called the roll for attendance. <br />Present: Mr. Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan and Davis <br />Absent: Nir, Shaw. <br />The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 20, 1966, were then read to <br />Council. It';ivas moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Davis, that the minutes <br />of the regular meeting be'approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. . <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Niinutes Approved <br />Mayor Bennett then called for Committee Reports. <br />Mr. Davis, reporting for the Building Committee, said that the Village <br />Hall ?aill be painted, starting this.week. The automatic door of the Service <br />Building has been referred to theFinance Committee f or f urther study. . <br />Mayor Bennett, reporting for the Safety Committee, stated that the width <br />of the vacated strip in Worton Park was ten feet and that the complaints on <br />driveways had been ironed out. ? <br />Mayor Bennett said that the "Detroit Style" of paving on Kenwood had <br />blown up in one spot. Mr. Peterson said in some occasions extreme heat causes <br />it. It is ttot particularly due to "Detroit Style" of paving. <br />Mayor Bennett asked Mr. Peterson about the bids for Surface Treating of <br />Seneca, Glenview and Bonnieview. Mr. Peterson said that any Village Contract <br />over $2,000,must have a wage schedule iticluded in it.- They are waiting for the <br />wage schedule from the State. The bids should be in by the next meeting. <br />The paving of Metro Park Circle has been completed. Mayor Bennett <br />reported that the trading in of the Salt Spreader had been discussed. The <br />Service Director has been asked to bring in a complete'price. <br />In regard to the ban on control on sprinkling, Mra Edelman stated that <br />we have an Ordinance f o"r this. A proclamation has to be issued to enforce it. <br />bir. James Plastine, Civil Defense Director, reported that the siren <br />is still not iaorking." Bids have not been sent out at this time.'.-The-noon <br />siren has been fized and is working again. Mr. Walker stated he heaid it ring <br />at noon on Saturday. <br />1.
