Mayor Bennett said that sidewalks are needed from Sandalwood <br />to Wilson Mills Road on the Eastern side of SOM to the gas station. Tt was, <br />thought not necessary to extend a sidewalk across the gas station property. <br />In answer to Mr. Masott°s qaestion, Mr. Peterson informed him that the plans <br />for paving the front of Worton Park will be ready at the next meeting. <br />Fire Chief Hejcl, reporting f or the Fire Department, said the Water <br />Commission of the City of Cleveland had checked the hydrants and f ound the <br />pressure very low. They opened one by pass valed on Lander Road to a second <br />high district. <br />Mayor Bennett said that the Water Department should not attempt to sell <br />and extend lines further out or raise the rates until outlying Villages had been <br />adequately supplied. - <br />Mr. Minello, 6198 Wilson Mills Road, said that they had been completely <br />out of water, even for drinlcing purposes, at least three times. <br />Mr. Minello was told to report this to the Water Commissioner, Thomas <br />Stanton, TO 1-4600. <br />Mr. Mason said that Council had discussed this water problem at length <br />and urged individuals to report. <br />Fire Chief Hejcl said their problem was at Nottingham. He said that the <br />Water Department should have a crew to open the by-pass valve on Lander Road <br />from third to second high. <br />Mr. Minello suggested that a notice be placed in the paper about our water <br />problem. <br />Mayor Bennett then asked the two reporters to please print our water <br />problem in their papers. <br />Police.Chief Shortle reported that his trip to New York was very good <br />and inf ormat ive . . <br />Mr. Mason found other clauses in the contract for paving Worton Park. <br />Mayor Bennett, Mr. Peterson and Mr. Edelman will meet and iron out the problem <br />of the top soil itt Worton Park. <br />Mr. William T. Russ, 6780 Meadowwood Drive, objected to the "No Parking" <br />signs on one side of D4eadowwood. He thinks it is ridiculous and unsightly and <br />an eyesoreo He asked if "No Parking" signs will be placed on other streets. <br />5.
