Safety and Service - Mr. Sloan. <br />The chassis f or the Fire Department was picked up in Willoughby and <br />delivered to Buff alo last Saturday to the Young Fire Equipment Co. They are <br />putting out two new fire trucks a week. They have twenty-two chassis on hand <br />ahead of ours to deliver. <br />The owner of the Shopping Center at SOM and Wilson Mills Road agreed to <br />clean sidewalks and parking lots three times a week. If they do not do this, <br />they will be cited for Iittering, ` ' <br />Mayor Bennett asked the newspapers to publicize the fact that the C.T.S. <br />buses are carrying school`children, and they are not martced. <br />Cemetery - Mz. Sloan. A report has been received f rom the State Examiner and everything seems <br />to be in order. <br />Welf are and Recreation - Mr. Walker - No Report. 'I <br />Architectural Board - Mr. Busa. <br />? <br />Mr. Busa read the rlinutes of the September 18, 1967, meeting. Dollars <br />of construction approved to date For 1967 are $1,612,800.00. <br />Planning and Zoning - <br />Mra Mason read the Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Meeting of September <br />11, 1967. <br />Mr. Mason commented on the literature which has gone out to the newspapers. <br />The facts are being misconstrued', especially about the Plastic Plant. They will <br />not manuf acture plastics which would cause unpleasant odors, but wi11 cut plastic <br />and use it for packing purposes. ` <br />The re-zoning on_the North end has been misrepresented. Our building ' <br />regulations were worlced out with the Planning and Zoning Commission several <br />years agoe Niost of the land being talked about was re-zoned several years ago; <br />with one exception aome part has been re-zoned to light industry. <br />827o of our land is now zoned f or residential and public services, such <br />as schools, churches and cemeteries, 27o apartments; 17. commercial, 5% office <br />and laboratories, 10% production and distribution. " <br />The school board endorses the program being carried out by Mayf ield <br />Village. <br />As a recently appointed member of Planning and Zoning, Mr. Mason thought <br />it wise to mention these facts. <br />Mr. Edelman pointed out that most of what is being changed to light - <br />industry is off ice laboratory. In effect, we are not changing it fram residential. <br />2.
