<br />Ordinance No, 1038 entitled: "An Ordinance to Amend Section 6 of Ordinance <br />No. 468, as Amended, by Establishing Requirements f or Electric and Telephone <br />Service in Subdivisions", was placed on tirst reading:at the October 16th meeting. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - NIessrs Sloan, Busa, Walker, Mason, Schmidt & Davis. <br />Nays - None. - Motion carried <br />? ? . . ,, . , .. . : Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Schmidt9 moved that Ordinance No. 1038 be <br />approved and passed as read. <br />; ,. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Sloan, Busa, Walker, Mason, Schmidt & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br /> <br /> <br />Council discussed the gas line ordinance. Mr. Edelman wsll check on it. <br />The Service Department has given approval of it. <br />Engineer's Report - Mr. Peterson. <br />Mr. Peterson said that he had not received any plans f rom the East Ohio <br />Gas Co. to extend the SOM Center line. <br />A representative f rom a casting company, who is checking on the.,price <br />of a grated casting f or the catch basin on SOM Center Road, thought it would be <br />about $25. Mayar Bennett asked Mr. Peterson to follow through on this. <br />The contracts are bonded and completed f or Worton Park Drive. The <br />markings, every 50 feet, in the middle of the road, have been put in as <br />requested by Mr. Wedler and his neighborso <br />Mayor Bennett announced that the Council has been working with the <br />Heinett's Food Chain regarding a Super Market to go in south of Jay Drug Store, <br />and they are progressing rapidly. <br />Progress has also been made in acquiring property f or the new Village <br />Hall. An announcement will be made concerning it next month. <br />Mayor Bennett announced the calendar of events f or the coming month. <br />Police Department - Police Chief Shortle - No Report. <br />Service Department - Mr. Foltz - No Report. Mayor Bennett asked f or questions f rom the floor. <br />3.
