Civil Defense - Mr. Busa. <br />The siren is dormant. It has been out f or eighteen months. <br />Planning and Zoning. <br />Mrm Mason read the minutes of the November 13, 1967, meeting. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Mason. <br />The Finance Committee met November 15, 1967, discussed and agreed that <br />conventional expense report forms should be used in preference to inf ormal <br />expense recapsa Mr. Mason is to provide some standard forms vahich conf orm <br />with the,latest IRS regulatioTis. ? <br />He reviewed and approved those vouchers for payment considered correct <br />for payment. <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Davis,.introduced Pay Ordinance No. 531-P. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Sloan, Busa, Walker, rlason, Schmidt and llavis. <br />- Nays - None. . . <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Mason noted that certain supply purchases do not show any discount <br />on invoices rendered. He will discuss need for discounted terms with each <br />department head. <br />The Police Department request for purchase of breath-o-analyzer must be <br />deferred until at least the f irst of the year, 1968, because insufficient f unds <br />are available. New Fire-trucks and other safety equipment have overspent <br />contingency f unds set aside earlier. . <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Mason, itttroduced Resolution No. 716, entitled; <br />"A Resolution Accepting the Amounts and Rates as Determined by the Budget Commission <br />and Authorizing the Necessary:Tax Levies and Certifying Them to the County Auditor:" <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by,Mr. Walker,.moved that the rules of law requiring <br />a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended, <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Sloan, Busa, Walker, Mason, Schmidt & Daviso <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that Resolution No. 716 be <br />approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Sloan, Busa, Ldalker, Mason, Schmidt & Davis. <br />Nays - None., <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />2.
