C _ C , C <br />Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mrp Mason' then introduced Resol.ution No. 535 <br />entitled; "A Resolution Approving an Agreement with Welding and Cutting <br />Supply Company Eot the Rental of a Cylinder for Compressed Air", which resoluti_on <br />was read to Councilm <br />' <br />It was moved by Mr. Bennett9 seconded by Mre S1oan, that the rules of <br />law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate oceasions be suspended. <br />? . <br />Roll Call; Ayes -,Mesars Zorn, Wedler9 Bentleti:q Mason and Sloano <br />Nays 7 Noetem _ <br />Moti.on_carried <br />Ru1es Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Sloans seconded bg Mr. Bennett, that Resolution No. <br />535 be approved and passed as reada . <br />• Roll Ca11; Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedle.r, Bennett, Mason,and.Sloanm <br />? <br />Nays - Noneo <br />, Motion carried <br />S Resolution'Passed <br />? <br />? e <br />Mr0 Belzer reported that Asrm Wieland,had asked.for an Ordinance <br />requiring bui.lders to post a$200 cash bond to cover damage to Vi.llage propertym <br />including sidewalksn sewerss ditchesn roads, atc. Mro Belzer said that he would <br />also like to see added ?o this_ordinance something to.cover the dropping of <br />refuse on our streets, Mro Belzer said that he,woold bring ita an orclinance that <br />would apply to this subject £or the next m2eting. Mr. Wieland also made an <br />? <br />issue of the fact that.there is a charge made for inspection of any alteration, <br />addition, or remodeling of an older home rahile no charge is made on a new home <br />for a similar taska He frelt .that charges should be made uniform. There was <br />a great deal of discussion in Council over this matter and Council f elt that <br />they should check with Mr. Wieland when he was present, <br />Mro BeJLzer repar,ted that Chief Shortlp had brought up the..problem of <br />children pla3ring in the streets aqd leaviXig their toys and wagons lying around <br />and wanted,some action to remedy.the situation, This then brought-up the subject <br />of; sidawslkso The Committee agreed ?tvith DSayor Endress that the instal].ation of <br />sideEaalks in all new developmeritsa or bordering new streetse should be enf orced, <br />An Ordinance had been passed, but not enforced to date. No action was taken in <br />Council on this matter. <br />?
