<br />Mr. Edelman thett reported that there should be a special meeting after <br />thirty days from tonight to pass a bond ordinance. It was then moved by Ms. <br />Belzer, seconded by Mr. Bennett, that a.Special Meeting be called for July 13, <br />1962, at 7;30 P. M. to pass a bond legislation on f ive streets in Worton Park <br />and f or such other matters that might come before Councile <br />Roll Call; Ayes m Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, MasonID Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - Nonee <br />Motion earried <br />Mro Sloan then reported that he had a list of salaries that had to be <br />paid by the Recreational Committee, with the Director getting.two hundred dollars <br />and other salaries amounting to sixty dollars, and that they were asking for <br />help towards these payments. As we had budgeted $250.00 for reereation, it was <br />moved by Mr,.Sloan, seconded by Mr. Zorn, that the Clerk be authorized to draw <br />a warrant in the amount of $250,00 for the Recreational Committee. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carsied <br />Maqor Endress then reported that, as we did not do anything about <br />advertising for a new police car at the regular meeting, and as we had the <br />specif ications on hand, which were pracfiically the same as for the last car, wre <br />should now consider this piece of business. <br />Mayor Endress reported that our present car was twoyears old and <br />beginning to cost quite a bit f or repairs. <br />It was then moved by Mre Belzer, seconded by Mr. Tdedler, that Council <br />advertise fos a new police car. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzere <br />Nays - None. ,?. <br />Motion carried <br />Mayor Endress then reported that a Mr. Grant wished to build a swimming <br />pool as.gart of his house on Oakwood Drive and our Swimming Pool ordinance <br />prohibited sach a ttiing. Mr. Grant then presented his plans for this pool for <br />inspection by Councilo Mayor Endress said that the only.thing that met our <br />Swimming Pool ordinance was the water in this proposed pool.. Mayor Endress <br />then read.the Pool ordinance to Council. The Fence around the Pool was then <br />discussed and, as our ordinance called for an open fence and this pool f or a <br />closed fence, a great deal of discussion went on about this part of the <br />ordinance. Mrd Grant said that his desire for a closed fence was for privacy and, <br />as the only opening was through the house, he did not see as it mattered. Another <br />discussion was had over the safety of inembers in the pool who might drown and not be <br />38eho <br />Mr, Belzer, seconded by Mr. Zorn, then ieatroduced ordinance No. 770 <br />entitled, "An ordinance to Amend Sections Fqur and Taelve of Ordinance Noe 634, <br />The Swimming Pool Ordinance°", which ordinance was read to Council. <br /> <br /> <br />2.
