<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />December 17, 1962 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at <br />the Town Hall at 8:00 P. Mo, Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Wedler,Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of the Regular rSeeting of November 19, 1962, were then <br />read to Council. Tt was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that <br />the Minutes of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as readm <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler,Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />rlayor Endress then asked for reports f rom the Committees. There was <br />nothing to report from the Building Committee. <br />, Mr. Belzer, reporting for the Safety and Service Comniittee, said that <br />they had met on December 3, 1962. Mr. Belzer said that Mr. Shortle, the <br />Police Chief, reported that the School buses for the Elementary School would <br />now load and unload on a side street. Mr. Belzer said also that he had received <br />complaitats that the sidewalk.in front of the Gura residence retained water <br />and had become a hazard to the school children. Mr. Wieland was'told to ,•, <br />coatact the residents in this area and give them notice that the sidewalk <br />would have to be repaired. <br />Mr. Mason, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they <br />had met on November 21, 1962, that the architects for the Van Curen <br />Apartments appeared before the Board and made recommendations covering <br />Section 14 and Section 16 of.our Zoning Ordinance No. 159 and advised these <br />men that the Architectural Board authority was restricted to construction <br />type recommendations. Plans were studied for a new home on 6170 S. Woodlane <br />Drivem The Board approved these plans. <br />Mr. Sloan, reporting on the Union Cemetery, was in receipt of a <br />letter from Mr. Brichachek, whose home was on the East side of the cemetery. <br />Mr. Slo2,n read this letter, whieh sttted that, since the laying o£ Hilltop <br />No. 1 and the cutting.of some of the drainage tile, water from the cemetery now <br />flowed and gathered along Wilson Mills in front of the Brichachek residence <br />and the cemetery. Mr. Brichacek thought that, in the event of sidewalks, <br />something should be dor?e to correct this matter before sidewalks were installede <br />This matter was then referred to Mr. Peterson for investigation and recommendations.
