M inutes of the 8egular Meeting January 21, 1963 The Conneil of the Village of Mayf ield met in regular meeting at the Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor EMdress presiding. Ro11 Call: Present - Messrs Wedler, Bennett,Shaw, Mason, S1oan & Belzer. Absent - None. Y The Minutes of the Rsgular Meeting of,December 17, 1962, were then read to Conncil. It was moved by Mr. Wedler,,seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Minutes.of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as sead. Roll Call: l?yes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett,Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. Nays - Noneo Motion carried Minutes Approved Mayor Eadress then asked for reports from the Comnittees. There was nothing to report from the Building Committee. There was no meeting of the Architectural Board. Mr. Belzer, reporting_for the Safety and Service Committee, said that they had held a meeting on January 7, 1963. Police Chief Shortle and Fire.Chief Por.ter then discussed the change-over situation on the ruling passed by the Federal Communication Corporation, that all Fire and Police Radio Frequencies must be changeds The deadline f or this was October 31, 1963. Mr. D. Harvey, in.charge of all'Police and Fire Radio serviciag, had a lengthy discussion with the.committee on prices and ways and means. The,change-over for the Fire Department woald come to over $5000.00. Mr. Belzer has all the iaformation on this matter. There was a great deal of'discussion in Council about this matter, but no recommen- dations;..f'rom the committee. Mr. Belzer also reported that his eommittee - discussed the possibilities of easements along S.O.M. Road, so that water hydrants could be set back far enough for the widening qf SOM without the costly utility bill that we incurred on Wilson Mills Road. Mr. Belzer said that he did not'. . wish thia matter to delay the line, as many residents along SOr3 were without water. Mr. Wedler, reporting.for the Planning and Zoning Commission, said that they had mnt oa Januarq 14, 1963, and,proceeded to read the miautes of their meeting to Council. Mr. Wedler reported that Mr. Abendroth was to be consulted. as to the delay on the balance of our Master Plan. The rest of the meeting was taken up with a conferenee with Richard Van Curen on his apartment house ,. development. Mr. Mason, reporting for the Finance Coimuittee, said that they had had two meetings aad did write u.p some of their thoughts.. Oae meeting was held with Mayor Endress and the second with the Clesk, at rahich time the Gommittee went.over the books familiarizing. themselves with the vasious funds before embarking upon a 1.
