It was brought to the attention of Council that the residents of <br />Thornapple Drive had been assessed by the county for Sewer Maintenance when <br />thep did not have a sewer; that this had just been discovered, as the bank <br />pafd their taxes and did not questioathe matter. Maqor Eadress said that <br />Mr. Puzinski had reported that there wonld be legislation passed to take <br />this off the tax duplicate in two weeks. Mayor Endress went on to say that <br />the County said that they would have to sue to get any money on back assessments <br />'paid, however there was a conElict of_opinion on this. These people then asked <br />Council where they stood on this matter;, they wanted to know what the Village <br />was going to do, or whether the Dillage would advise them. Mr. Bdelman then <br />talked of how this had happened and said that 500 parcels in Garfield Heights <br />had also been assessed erroneously, Maqor Bndress said that he had talked to <br />Puzsinski and that Mr. Puzsinski had men working on this Resolution; that <br />he thought it would be available to present;in about 15 days and it was <br />his opinion that a refund would be made oa the present taxes. Mayor Endress <br />said that he had asked Mr. Puzsinski for a c.opy of this resolntion and will have <br />it duplicated and sent to everybody on Thornapple Drive. <br />Mayor Endress then asked Council to set a date for a bndget meeting. <br />Council then set Februarq 22nd at 7:30 P. M. for this meetiag and Feb. 4th <br />for the Land Development-Meeting.
