Minutes of the Regular Meeting , <br />May 20, 1963 <br />-The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan &:Belzer. <br />' Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of tne Regular Meeting of April 15, 1963, were then read to <br />Council. It was moved by Mr. tiiedler, seconded by Mro Mason, that the Minntes <br />of the Regular meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />8011 Calla Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - Nonem <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes Appsoved <br />Mr. Peterson then reported.that he had a package on a water line on <br />White Road which he then presented to Council f or,their inspection. He said <br />that Willoughby Hills were starting to put in water mains and wished to put <br />one along White.Road and make it a joint project with our village; that <br />they were ready to go and would let it out f or a contract if Mayf ield would <br />go along with theme Mr. Peterson said that they were laying a 12 inch main <br />and picking up the tab on everything over an eight inch main; that the Village <br />share would be $2,500.00. Mr. Edelman said that he had told them that we did <br />not have funds for this project at this time. If they did pay the difference <br />between the 12 and 8 inch main it would cut our cost.on 2%.and intersections <br />to around $750.00. There was considerable concern in Council as we_were_ <br />assessing SOM Road f or a water main aad intended to assess Mt, Sinai Cemetery <br />Ass*n for their frontage. This cemetery also had large, frontages on White <br />Road. There was also some discussion on whether there wonld be objection <br />from,the Bass people as they owned considerable frontage just east of the <br />Freeway and the land could not be used at the present time. <br />- Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Sloae?, then introduced Ordinance No. 800, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk to eater into a <br />joint contract with the Village o£ Willoughby Hills.f or the construction of_a <br />water main in White Road", which ordinance was read to Council. It was moved <br />by Mr. Belzer9 seconded by Mr. Wedler, that the ru.les of law requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on'three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Benttett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />. , Motion carried.- <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Wedler,.that Ordinance No. <br />800 be approved and passed as read, <br />1.
