Endress <br />said that he had talked with Mr. Falhaber and they might not be opening the <br />drive way on Ridgebury this yeara, <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter f rom Alan Bennett, resigning from the <br />Fire Department because of a conflict of interest. Mayor Endress then <br />recommended that this resignation be accepted. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that this resigna- <br />tion be accepted. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Wedler, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belaer. <br />Nays - Mr. Bennett passed. _ <br />Mayor Endress then read the reports from the various departments to Council, <br />Mayor Endress also read a letter from the Police Department with respect to <br />sgeed on the Freeway. Mr. Edelman said that we should ask for all the things <br />that were plaguing us and then pass a speed resolutiona Mayor Endress then <br />told Police Chief Shortle to contact the writer of the letter f irst about these <br />things and then talk of the speed resolution. _ <br />Mr, Edelman reported that the White Road Water Main was at a stand still <br />because of the Mt. Sinai Cemetery assessment on the SOM Water Main. Mr. Edelman <br />said that Willoughby Hills should pick up the difference or put in the main on <br />a tap-in basiso ' The Cetttral National Bank having presented a contract f or inactive f unds, <br />Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Sloan, then introduced Resolution No. 563 entitled, <br />"A Resolution Approving A Contract For Deposit Of Inactive Funds In Central <br />National Bank Of Clevelarid", which Resolution was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Mason, that the rules of law <br />requiring a resolutiott to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Niessrs. Wedler, Bennett, 'Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carriede <br />Rules suspended. <br />It was moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Resolution No. 563 <br />be approeed and passed as read: Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs. Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Resolutioa adopted. <br />Mr. Edelman then reported that the City of Cleveland had taken up the f ight <br />on the increase in gas rates; that the Committee had found in favor of the Gas <br />Company and the City of Cleveland wanted to carry this up to a higher court, <br />if necessary. They would like 3 cents a person, or $57.00. Mr. Wedler, seconded <br />by Mr. Shaw, then introduced.a Resolution that cae join with Cleveland in this <br />f ight, which resolution was read to Council. <br />4.
