Special Council Meeting
<br />Village of Mayf ield
<br />July 29, 1963
<br />The Conncil oE the Villagp, of Mayf ield met in Special Meeting at the
<br />Town_Hall at 7:30 P. M. on Monday, July 29, 1963, pursuant to notice given to
<br />all members of Council according to law. Mayor Endress presided<
<br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer.
<br />Absent - Mr. Wedler.
<br />In the absence of Mr. Wedler, who had been delayed, the Clerk asked for
<br />approval of.proposed construction of a gas main and said that a checic had been
<br />received for inspection of this work. It was then moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded
<br />by Mr. Mason, that East Ohio Gas Co. plans for proposed construction of gas
<br />main and service between sidewalk and curb on the East side of Beech Hi11 Road
<br />as indicated in red on their enclosed print of drawing No. D-6359, sheet No. 1
<br />of 1, dated November 27, 1957, revisad April 19, 1962, be approved,
<br />Ro11 Call; Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, S1oan & Belzer,
<br />Nays - Nonee
<br />Motion carried
<br />Approval Granted
<br />Mr. Edelman then notified Council that the Resolution on each Bond Issue
<br />had been f iled with the County Auditor and that the Auditor had certified that
<br />the millage would be .9113 mills per dollar, which was 9.113p, per hundred dollars.
<br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Sloan, then introduced Resolution No. 573,
<br />entitled: "A Resolution Determining to Proceed With the Subnission of the
<br />Electors of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, at the November 5, 1963, General
<br />Election, the Question of Issuing Bonds for the Purpose of Paying the Village°s
<br />Portions of the Cost of Tmprovements to be Paid in Part by the Levy and
<br />Collection of Speeial Assessments Consisting of Paving, Grading, Draining,
<br />Cusbittg, Ditching, and Constructing Sidewalks in Streets and Constsucting
<br />Sidewalks in Streets and Constructing Sanitary Sewers, Storm Sewers, and
<br />Water Mains", which resolution was read to Council>
<br />It was moved by Mr. S1oan, seconded by Mr, Alasott, that the rules of law
<br />requiring a resolution to be read oh three separate occasions be suspended.
<br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer.
<br />Nays - None, .
<br />Motion carried
<br />Rules Suspended
<br />It was moved by Mr. riason, seconded by Mra Sloan, that Resolution No. 573
<br />be approved and passed as read. Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer.
