At-this point the Clerk asked our Engineer whether the School Board would <br />have to put in a Sewer connection on a lot on Lander that was unnumbered and <br />previously set aside for a roade It was the opinion of our Engineer and Council <br />that it would not be necessary on an unnumbered lot as nothing could be built <br />on this lot. Mr. Belzer then went on to say that Mr. Shortle asked to have <br />Ordinance Noo 309 amended to cover ftfty.to sixty miles per hour speeds due to <br />the change of State Laws. <br />Mr. Endress reported at this time that the State had written that they <br />would not install lights at the Freeway Interchange, Mr. Edelman read these <br />letters to Councile Mra Edelman also read a letter from the State Auditor <br />saying that xae could not use State Highway money to install sidewalks under <br />•the Freeway Bridgeo . , <br />Mr. Mason, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had <br />met on'July 25, 1963, and approved plans f or one house, an addition and a tool <br />shed and approved plans f or.a study design of an addition and conversion of an <br />old garage. Plans were not approved f or construction due to absence,of <br />construction details. Another meeting was held on August 8, 1963, at which time <br />the committee approved plans for two additions, one residence and a chattge of <br />plans from the original on a one story ranch-type.2-bath home. <br />The Finarice Comm?ttee having approved the pay ordinance, it was moved <br />by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr, [aedler, that Pay Ordinance Vo. 480-P be approved <br />and passed,-as' read-o Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs TrTedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan.& Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />. Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. jledler, reporting f or the Planning and Zoning Commission, said that <br />they had met on August 12, 1963, and proceeded to read the Minutes of th.is <br />meeting to Council. A letter had been received from Thompson, Hine.& F1ory, <br />representing Mrs. Edward V. Taylor and asking in what respect Mrs. Taylor was <br />in violation oF Ordinance Nom 159a A letter was written stating that Mrso;Taylor <br />was in violation of Ordinance No. 468, the Platting Ordinance. The Worton Park <br />Development Co. presented charts illustrating their appeal for rezoning an area <br />of 45 acres i:n Mayf ield Village. The Planning and Zoning Commission.are <br />studying in detail the plans and brochure.presentede :'I?ao s:tatements from_ the <br />Regional Planning Gommission'f or work done were taken up: and the bill for <br />$488.73 f or additional work done on:the interim zoning plans was discus,sed and <br />in a r.esolution read to Council by.Mr. Wedler, ?he Zoning and Planning Commission <br />recommended that this bill lie riot paid as the $488e73.was in addition to_the <br />$250.00 on the original contract and was ttot authorized.. <br />Mayor Endress then explained to Council that the other bi11 received <br />from Mr. Henry for $499.61, which the Zoning and Planning Commission had foutid <br />reasonable, was'for work done for.the.Weisberg Trial and should be considered <br />favorably by Council. It was then moved by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Shaw, <br />that this bill be paid. .. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />2.
