The Service Director having reported that the sidewalk across ths old
Gura place on SOM Road was in bad condition, being warped and too low and
under water in most rains, the Solicitor was asked to write to the owners of
this property and request that the sidewalk be brought up to standard. This
portion of the sidewalk leads to the Mayfield Genter Sehool and is used daily
by the smaller childrenm
Mr. Belzer then spoke o£ the proposed sidewalks East of SOM Road on
Wilson Mills. He said that he had been asked to interview some of these people
but had never gotten around to doing it. He now wondered whether we could
accept money from these people for the construction of a walk. rirm Edelman
said that we could.
Mr. Petarson then asked Mr. Belzer about the big stink down his way.
Mr. Belz'er said that they would always have it, he thought, and asked Mr. Peterson
to send someone from the County that could smell. '
A representative from Metro Park Drive then advised Council that yir.
Wieland had the underground plans of Metro Park Drive as requested, but that
they did not show much of anything and were water plans and not sewer plans.
Mr. Peterson said that there was nothing on the plans that he could give an
engineering opinion about. Mr. Peterson said that he had gotten hold of the
engineer who drew these plans and he said that they were water plans and the
sewer was shown only as incidental. Mr. Busa then asked Mr. Peterson about
tiie six inch pipe on Metro Park and asked i£ this was sufficient pipee Mr.
Peterson said yes, it was sufficient to take care of from 8 to 15 septic tanks.
He said that a 7 or 8 inch pipe would take care of 150 homes but not rain water.
Council then phoned Mr. Zorn and asked him to appear at the meeting. Mr.
Zorn arrived, at ten thirtv. Mr. Peterson told Mr. Zorn that the engineer said
that he knew nothing about the sewer, that the prints were only for water, that
the sewers were put in f our years before the water lines. Mr. Zorn then said that
he had a set of plans from Mr. Gallimore that approved the sewer and did not
want to give them to us as they were his only plans. It was suggested that
another set could be obtained from the same engineering f irm or copies could
be made f rom Mr. Zorn's set. Mr. Zorn then wettt home to obtain this set.
There being no f urther business to come before Council, upon motion
made and duly put, Council adjourned.
Mayor - President of Council
Attest:
(SEAL) C1 rk
7.
