There was some discussion in Council as to the condition of the police <br />cars and probable repair bills. Mr. Belzer, seeonded by Mr. Sloan, then <br />introduced Ordinance No. 821 entitled: "An Ordiaance to Authorize the Purchase <br />and Installation of a Traffic Control Device on a joint basis with the Village <br />of Highland Heights, Ohio, for the control of Pedestrian and Vehicular Traffic <br />on Wilson Mills Road at the New Mayfield City High School and Declaring an <br />Emergency", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Nir. Sloan, that the sules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended, <br />Roll Call: Ayes - rlessrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan 8r. Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Nason, that Ordinance No. <br />817 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />' Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Endress then remarked that, while Council was talking of the <br />High School, that there was something else to think about, that at the present <br />time there were no lights at that loeation, that we almost had a patrolman <br />run down and Niayor Endress then recommended another street light and asked <br />that the I1luminating Company be.consulted to see what they recommended. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that we <br />advertise for a new police car. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Shaw, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - Nonee <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Mason then remarked that he had a report on our two bond issues <br />to go out to the people and read this report to Council. All of the Council <br />felt that we should have an inf ormal meeting on NIonday, October 27, 1963, to <br />talk to the people about the two bond issues.. This meeting to be held at <br />8:00 P. M. at the Town Hall, <br />Mayor Endress then asked what had developed with Highland Heights on <br />the Fire Department Radios. Mr. Beanett said that Highland Heights had backed <br />out, as $25.00 per month was too much. - Mr. Peterson said that he had heard <br />the F.C.C..had Taithdrawn their ruling and we didnot have to have these radios, <br />Mr. Mason said that we should get a clarification on this, even if we have <br />to call Glashington. <br />2.
