The Clerk then read the bids received for a new police car. Four <br /> ,bids were received: One £rom the Shaker Heights Buick, Inc. f or $1806.95, <br /> did not contain a bid check so was not considered, Bob Erb's Willoughby <br /> Ford for $1261.50, Dowd Oldsmobile, Inc. for $2669.39, and Newman Motors, <br /> Ince for $1000m00. <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Sloan, then introduced Ordinance No. 824,' <br />entftled: "An Ordinance to Purchase a New Automobile Froni NewmAn Motors, <br />Inc." which ordinance was read to Council. <br />" It was`moved by Nir. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Sloany that the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />° Ro11_ Call; Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan & Bel, zer. <br />Nays - Nonee <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that Ordinaace No. <br />824`be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler,Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />? : Niotion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />- Mayor Endress then asked for a report from the Finance Committee on <br />the Regional Planning program. Mr. Mason said that there was a meeting <br />scheduled and he would take it up at the maeting. - <br />Mayor Endress then asked for reports from the various committees. <br />Mr. Mason, reportitig for the Architectural Board, said that they had <br />had two meetings bu't that the minutes had been left at his home. He said <br />that they had met on October 24, 1963, and approved the Van Curen revised <br />drawing and another house.- At the other meeting they approved one house, <br />one addition and a double garageo <br />. Mr. Mason advised,that-the Finance Committee had approved the Pay <br />Ordinance. It was then moved by Mr. Mason, secotided by Mr. Shaw, that Pay <br />Ordinance No. 483-P be approved and passed as reada <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler,Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carriecl - <br />Pay Ordinance Pass'ed <br />Couticil then talked about the possibilities of re-submitting the levy <br />for?the Village share of road improvements. Mr. Edelman said that he was <br />taking the matter up with Squire,'Sanders & Dempsey -co see if it could be <br />put up at a sgecial election, as to sanitary sewers and water mains. <br />3. <br />,
