<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting. <br />January; 20, 1964 <br />The Council of the Village oF Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8;00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding.' <br />Roll Call; Present - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. . <br />The Minutes of the Regular rleeting of December 16th, 1963, were then <br />read to Council. It was moved by hir. Sloan, s.econded by Mr. Shaw, that the <br />Minutes of the 12egular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker",blason,Sloari & Belzer., <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />. , . Minutes Approved . <br />' Mayor Endress then asked that the minutes show that the new members, <br />of Council, James Sloan and H. Torrey Walker, and Mayor Clarettce H. Endress <br />and Clerk, Richard F. Godfrey, had taken the Oath of Off ice which was <br />administered by Arnold M. Edelman, Notary Public, at a meeting on January 13, <br />1964, at the Town Hall. Mr. Edelman then administered the Oath of Office to <br />Walter Rogers, Treasurer. <br />The Bond of Nlayor Clarence Endress,having been approved by the <br />Solicitor., was then filed with the Clerk. It.was moved by Mr. Mason, seconded <br />by Mr. Sloan, that thi.s bond be approved. . . <br />Roll C-all: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None.. - <br />Motion carried <br />'1"fie Clerk and Treasurer then presented, their bonds and after approval <br />by the Solicitor and the Nlayor, the Clerk filed his Bond with the Treasurer <br />and the Treasurer filed his Bond with the Clerkm <br />Mayor?Endress then said that nominations f or President of Council <br />Pro'Tem were in order. Mr. Bennett; seconded by NIr. Sloan, then nominated <br />Mr. Belzer for President of Gouncil Pro Tem. Mr. Shaw,.seconded by Mr. Walker, <br />noininated Mr. Mason. Upon motion made and carried that the nominations Ue <br />closed, Mayor Endress asked for a.vote on these two candidates. <br />Votings Mr. Shaw for Mrm Mason; NIr, I3ennett for Mr. Belzer; Mr.. Walker for <br />Mr. Mason. At this point Nlre Mason passed and the Solicitor reminded him that <br />a pass was a yes vote for majority. Mr. Mason then vo.ted for Mr. Belzer, <br />Mr. Sloan for Mr. Belzer, and Mr. Belzer voted for Mr. Belzer. Mr. Belzer, <br />with the greatest number of votes, was then made President of Council Pro Tem. <br />- 1.
