<br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Nlason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Endress then read the reports from the various departments to <br />Council. <br />blayor Endress then aslced the Mount Vernon People, owning 147 acres <br />alongside the Freeway, to present to Council the model of a development which <br />they wished to carry out on these 147 acres. Mr. Wolstein, representing the <br />Mount Vernon Acres, then spoke for an hour on their plans and hopes and asked <br />that Council consider this area for rezoning as they found our present zoning <br />too costly f or investment of their money. <br />This came as a surprise to Council and as there were so many angles <br />to consider, so many questions to have answered and explained, that Council <br />evidenced no sentiments for or against the plan. NIr. Edelman said that he <br />would meet with their attorneys and go into the matter. <br />Fred Williams, present at the Council meeting, then extended an <br />invitation to Council to attend a meeting on Thursday, January 30, 1964, at <br />8:00 P. M. at Mayfield Heights Town Hall to go over plans for a Public Library <br />f or the Mayfield School District.
