Mr. Belzer also reported that Fire Chief Porter had asked for consider- <br />ation on a portable pump for $350.00 and a generator f or about the same amount'. <br />Mayor Endress said that this should be referred to the Finance Committee and <br />they should add it to the budget. Mr. Porter also reported that the old Pire <br />Truck was 16 years old and`suggested that a levy be placed on?the ballot f or <br />the next election for $25,000.00 to replace this piece of equipment. Mr. <br />Edelman said that this would have to be put on the November Ballot. <br />Mr. Niason, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had <br />a meeting on January 9th, 1964, and approved one residence. <br />Mre Mason, reporting f or the Finance Committee, brought up the subject <br />of the old Fire Truck and said that, if failing, it should be examined to see <br />if it could be fixed and also that we should ascertain if there was,an age <br />limit placed on such equipment by the state. " <br />Mr. Shaw then reported that the Finance Committee had approved the <br />Pay Ordinance and mentioned that there was a slight deficit in the General <br />Fund. Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Belzer, then introduced Resolution No. 598, <br />entitled: "A Resolution Requesting the County Auditor to Advance the Sum of <br />$10,000.00 to the Village of Mayfield out of Current Tax Collections", which <br />resolutiorr,was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Nlason, seconded by Mr. Walker, that the rules of <br />law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that Resolution No. <br />598 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />The Clerk then reported that our check-writer would have to be turned <br />in, as it had been found that certain numbers could be superimposed on others <br />and we could not get insurance on the machine.
