, Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />March 16, 1964 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Towa Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Ro11 Calla Present - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 17, 1964, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Minutes <br />of the regular meeting be a.pproved as read. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Berinett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />` Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked for reports from the various committees. Mr. <br />Sloan, reporting f or the Architectural Board, said that they had met on February <br />27, 1964, and read their minutes to Council. <br />Mr. Bennett, reporting f or the Building Committee, said that they had <br />two projects; that they were working with Mr. Wieland on an estimate f or a <br />service garage and that the fise department wished to cut in on the Town Hall <br />phone. Mre Wieland said that there were too many extensions on this phone, <br />as it was and it was too busy to have it interrupted by another extension. <br />Mayor Endress then turned the matter of phones over to the Safety Committee <br />for secommendations. Mr. Bennett then said that they had a bid of $700.00 <br />f or repairing the roof of the Fire-Station and only nesded a go ahead on the <br />project. Mr. Shaw said the Finance Committee approved this repair. Couricil <br />was under the impressiott that this was a good and reasonable bid and it was <br />moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mro Sloan, and the bid of the Cuyahoga Roofitig. <br />Company be accepted. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Bennett then reported that they were having trouble with the Fire <br />Station doors; that the lock on one door had been broken'off and asked permission <br />to have the doors repaired. Council said that he should go ahead on this project <br />if it did-..not cost too much.. . <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting f or the Safety Committee, bronght to the attention <br />of Council the proposition of lighting the Village, especially our main streets. <br />The Illuminating Company gave the committee an estimate of $7,679e26 increase <br />over the present lighting costs. Mr. Belzer said the committee would not make a <br />1.
