riinutes of the Regular Meeting <br />April 20, 1964 <br />The Gouncil of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call; Present - Dlessrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent = None. . <br />The Mittutes of the Regular Nieeting of March 16, 1964, were then read to <br />Council. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Be.lzer, that the Niinutes <br />of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. . ? <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walkei.,Nlason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked f or reports from the various committees. Mr. <br />Sloan-, reporting f or 1:he Architectural Board, said that they had a meeting on <br />Dlarch 26, 1964, and approved three homes and one addition and the cancellation <br />of another home to be replaced with a larger home. <br />? Mr. Bennett, reporting f or the,Building Committee, reported that the <br />new roof had been installed on the Fire Station and a Bill Board ordered for <br />the Town Hall. <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said that <br />they had quite a disc<ussion at their meeting on the sewer problem on DSetro <br />Park'Drive and that they had not decided as yet just what to do. rlayor Endress <br />then asked Mr. Wieland how long the standpipes had been closed and Mr. Wieland <br />said they had been cl:osed s,ince shortly after putting in the sewer. He said <br />that they had opened one today and another one right by Busa's mail box and <br />another farther upe He said that they would all have to be broken up because <br />the pipe,edges up and all the water is going down and they would all have to be <br />opened up and straightened out. Mr. Belzer said that he would have to go along <br />with this, so that the,sewer• could get air. Mr. Endress then ordered Mr. Wieland <br />to get these standpipes in and see where we go from there. He said the only <br />thing we could do was to get an estimate on the diffing and then see where the <br />money is coming from. Mayor Endress again asked Mr. Wieland to get after the <br />standpipes as soon as it stops raining. ,- <br />r4ayor Endress then reported that the Firemen had a meeting to promote fire- <br />men to off icers, due to resignations and after some discussion it was agreed to <br />recommend that three men be appointed; Theref ore, in line with_this,.suggestion, <br />Mayor Endress then appointed Mr. Hejcl as Assistant Chief of the Fire Department, <br />Mr. Duffy as Captain, and Mr. Whiteman as Lieutenant. It was;moved by Mr. Bennett, <br />seconded by Nlre Shaw, that these appointments be confirmed., <br />1.
