Mr. Edelman then reported that a petition for rezoning a parcel of land <br />on Sandlewood and ZOM Center Road had been served on the Clerk by Mrse Van Curen. <br />Mr:' Edelman then read this petition to Couttcil. Mr, Edelman said that he would <br />have something ready f or Council on this for our next meeting.' <br />Mr. Peterson reported that he had two water valves on SOM to adjust to <br />complete that main and that the Lander Road Sewer is complete except f or the <br />cleaning up. In reporfiing on the Worton Park Paving situation, Mr. Peterson <br />said that he had to plot the field notes and sti11 had to evaluate the driveway <br />culverts and work up the details of quantities bef ore this would be ready. <br />Everything should be ready for the next meeting. Mr. Peterson also reported <br />that the swamp area to be drained by the school was proven to be drained through <br />Worton Park and not across Wilson Mills Road. <br />Mr. Porter, in reporting ott their Circus progress, said that they were <br />selling tickets and had set up a meeting with the Police Por Wednesday to see <br />about parking; that he would have to take care of the water f or this circus <br />but had not done anything about it as yet. Mr. Porter said that he still had <br />plenty of time, however. <br />Mayor Endress then read a proclamation to Council proclaiming BURGLARY <br />PREVENTION WEEK to be between the period of June 21, through June 27, 1964, <br />and asked all citizens to join in utilizing all preventive measures tending to <br />discourage and diminish crime. Mayor Endress then had a short discussion with <br />Council on tMis procl2mation. <br />The matter of bringing our Zoning Map up to date again came up and <br />Mayor Endress said that Mr. Aenry said that the Regional Planning Commission was <br />,supposed -to bring our Zoning Map up to date as part of the money we were spending <br />from the Government and f rom the Village. Mayor Endress told Mr. Peterson that <br />this eould probably be used when ht worked on our map if he wanted to call the <br />Regional Planning Commission; that there would be a little delay in getting this <br />map and he thought we should wait f or it and not pay double. Mr. Peterson said <br />that he would suggest that, if Mr. Henry had such a map in the making, we <br />should wait and send this map to the Auditor. <br />Mr. Sloan then said that Council should go on record as complimenting <br />our Police Chief on his.excellent record at the F.B.I. School in Washington. <br />It was then moved by A1r. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that Council go <br />on record as having complimented our Police Chief, Mr. William Shortle, on his <br />attendance at the F.B.I. Safi ool. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,Walker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />riotion carried <br />Council then set Monday, June 29th, at 8:00 P. M. f or a Budget Meetingo <br />3.
