Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason and 31oan. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motiott carried <br />` Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Sloat? then reported that a dangerons sitnation existed at the inter- <br />sectioa of SOM and Wilson Mills Road, that pedestrians wese unable to see the <br />traffic signals from the pedestra.an walks.' Mayor Endress said that'he would <br />have to look into this situation. 'Mr. Mason, reportirig for the Zonidg.and Planning Cammission, said that <br />they had met on August 3rd, but that he had not received minutes of the meeting <br />as yet; that they had another meeting which he missed. Mayor Endress then went <br />on to 3ay that they had met`with"Kaplan at this meeting to,discuss Aintree <br />Park; that Abendroth trom Regional Planning Oas,pres'ent. It_was brought-out <br />at this ffieeting that our ordinance caIled for a set-baclc of 60 feet From the=property line; that there were-several items that did not meet our ordiaance <br />and the streets did noit caahe out right on SOM Center Road., They agreed 'to have <br />Mr. Abendroth come wi.th some ideas and redraw the whole tt?ing; that they had <br />called today and said they would like to meet with the Regional Planning <br />Canmission tamorrow. Mayor Endress reported also that on another piece of <br />property on the Fxeeway they wanted to build a Sun Oil Gas Station and were <br />told to bring ita some plans` to the,Planning and Zoning Commission-'and present <br />a f oxmal request. <br />Mr. Edelman then reported that he had received a request to re-zone a <br />lot awneafi by the Van Curen"s to a b-4 on a forty foot strip; that we would <br />have to have a public hearing om this. Council then set the next Coutacil <br />meeting as the day-for a publie heari.ng on this. <br />Ordinance No. 855,entitled:_."An Ordiaance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance <br />of the Village,of: Mayf ield by Transferring Certain Propertq at the Southeasterly <br />Corner of SOM Center Road atnd Sanda`lwood Drive f rom Class U-2 Use Distriet,to <br />Class U-4 Use District" was again read to Cotincil. This ordinance was"then <br />placed upon.its second,.reading. . . <br />It was then moved by-Mr..Shaw, seconded.by Mr. Mason, that an open <br />hearing on Ordinance No. 855 be set_ for'8:00 Pe , M, on Monday. Walker, Mason and Sloan;- Nays -,Norie. _ ` . _- --- ?• , <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Bennett reported that there had been no activity in the Buildiag <br />Committee. <br />Mr, Shaw,,reporting for the Finance Committees said that the Canmittee <br />had gone over the Pay Osdinance and_fonnd it to be in order and recommended <br />that it be passed. Mr. Shaw, seconded bq Mr. Sloan, then introduced Pay <br />Ordinance No. 492-P, which ordinance was read to Council. <br />2.
