<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />-October 19, 1964 <br />The Council of the Village of Niayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Ha11 at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. - - <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. . <br />" The Minutes of tlie regular meeting of September 17, 1964, were then <br />read to Cou.ncil. It was moved by NIr. Nlason; seconded by Mra Shaw, that the <br />Minutes of the regular meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, TJalker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked for reports from the various comrnittees. IvIr. <br />Sloan, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had met on <br />September 24, 1964, and approved three residences. " Mr. Bennett, reporting for the Building Committee, called Council4s <br />attention to the painting job on the inside of the Town Hall. This was all too <br />apparent, as the inside of the building glittered, <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said that <br />they had raet on October 5, 1964, arid recommended that Council approve the <br />relocation of the traffic cables on Wilson Nlills anci SCM so that pedestrians could <br />see the traf-fic signals f rom the cross-walks. The Auto Club in the meantime is <br />making a further study for recommendations. This would cost $67.50. It was <br />moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that an, expenditure of $67.50 be made <br />to cor.rect this situation. <br />Ro11 Callt Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, NIason, Sloan & Belzero <br />I Nays - -None. - <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Belzer,then reported on the Fire DepartmentQS No. 1 pumper and said <br />that it would cost f rom two to three thousand dollars to put it itt shape;-thai: <br />the brakes were bad and should be replaced. Council then recommended ttiat Chief <br />Porter take care of the brakes immediately and tabled any action on a neta £ire <br />truck for further study. <br />Nlr. Masott, reporting for the Zoning an.d Planning Commission, reported? <br />on their meeting of October 12, 1964, and read the Nlinutes to Council. Mr. Levine then presented plans f or the Kenwood North Development and-asked for <br />approval of these plans in principal only. These plans did not conform to <br />1.
