our ordinance; did not show street names and were not signed by our Engineer. <br />Council decided not to approve an.ything until it was done right. <br />Mayor Endress then reported that Mr. Friedman had the preliminary plans <br />an the Aintree Park Development signed by our Engineer and the Zoning and <br />Planning Board. These plans were then offered for inspection to Council, Mr. <br />Edelman said that the plans shoxoed lots that were sub-standard and Council should <br />look at them and take int.o consideration the conditions and could possibly approve <br />them on a hardship basis. Council then sent these plans back to our Engineer to <br />check on the lot sizes. <br />Mr. Shaw, reporting for the Finance Committee, said that the Committee <br />had looked over the bills and found the Pay Ordinance to be in order and <br />recommended that it be passeds It was then moved by Mr. Shaca, seconded by Mr. <br />Mason, that Pay Ordinance No. 494-P be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker, Nlason, Sloan & Belzere <br />Nays - None. <br />Motiori carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Shaw then reported that we had two bills from Mr. Edelman for <br />court work and recommen.ded that the $865.00 bill be paid immediately and the <br />rest be£ore the end of the year. It.was then moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by <br />Mr. Niason, that the recommendations of the Finance Committee'be approved, <br />' Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Glalker, Alason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />It had been recommended by the Safety and Service Committee that we <br />purchase riot equipment tahen our tax money had been received. Council then <br />aslced that this be deferred for discussion at the November meeting. Mr. Mason <br />then wondered if this equipment could be secured f rom Civil Defense. Mayor <br />Endress said that this was set up on a matching fund basis, so it would be a <br />question if. we wished to set up a matching fun,d. <br />Mayor Endress then took up the matter of a letter f rom Mr. Edelman <br />questioning whether we should not have insurance f or our village streets <br />after the Maynard suit. This would cost around $600.00, Mr. Shaw said that <br />this should be studied by another committee than the Finance Committee. Mr. <br />Endress said that the Finance Committee had able members and could very well <br />handle this matter., Mt. Edelman said some municipalities have insurar.ce and <br />others-do not and men.tioned the City of Cleveland as not having insurance; <br />that this was our f irst suit, but we,could have another tomorrow. Mayor <br />Endress said that Council should study this matter a bit bef ore doing anything. <br />Mayor Endress then spolce of the second phase of the P.egional Planning <br />effor.t towards,our Master Plan and said it was a question as to whether Council <br />wished to.go into this, that it could possibly be resolved after the meeting <br />tomorrow. Mr. Bennett then asked if there was to be a third and f ourth phase <br />of planning. riayor Endress said'that he thought not, but did not know for sure; <br />that this was split up because the Government could'not have a contract that ran <br />f or more than two years, <br />2.
