Mr. Shaw, reporting for the Finance Committee, said that the Committee <br />had f ound the Pay Ordinance to be in order and recomznended that it be passed. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that Pay Ordinance <br />No. 496-P be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Calle Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Shaw then notified Council that our tax money would no doubt be <br />delayed f or the next period and everyone should go easy until we saw how <br />things worked out and that we would have a temporary budget f or the next <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Nlre Belzer, i:hen introduced Ordinance No. 869, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance to Provide f or Transfer and Appropriation of Funds <br />f or Various Purposes During the Year 1964", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the rules of laNo <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett, Wallcer, Mason, Sloan & Belzer, <br />Nays - None. , <br />. Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Peterson reported that the Plat for changing the name of Thornapple <br />was complete and presented it to Council. Mr, Edelman said that he would <br />prepare legislation £or the next meeting. Mr. Peterson then present_ed a <br />cross section of Wilson Mills f or sidewalk purposes and Mr. Weiss talked to <br />Council about the difficulty of this project. Aiayor Endress then reconnnended <br />that this be tabled for the meeting and Council should go out and look over <br />the area before making any decisions and bring the matter up at the.January <br />meeting. Council then tabled this matter until the next meeting. <br />Mr. Mason-then asked our Engineer about the roads in Worton Park and <br />N1r. Peterson said that he had nothing yet. Mr. Mason said that when our <br />Engineer presented the drawing some time ago, it showed things in the way at <br />the back end of Worton Park and he felt that people should be notified to <br />move dhtie fences. Mr. Mason said that he had written a letter pointing ou-t <br />these things and the question now comes up that nobody has g.one out and <br />started digging up trees or fences, so he wondered if we should send out an <br />off icial notice. Mr. Edelman then asked f or a list and Mr. Nason said that <br />this would probably be everybody, rir. Peterson said that i.t would at least <br />give people a change to salvage some of their things. <br />2.
