Ordinance 79-4, entitled: "AN EMERGENCE"-'ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION FROM HOBART HOMES, INC. OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON S.O.M. CENTER ROAD: AUTHORIZING THE SETTLEMENT OF LITIGATION", was introduced by Council as a Whole. Discussion was -held on the agreement. Mrs. Han.us;.seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to suspend the rules of law requiring fay. ordinance to' be read on three separate o"ccasions. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None .. j Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to pass~Ordinance 79-4. Mr. Grogan stated that in the transfer of this property -the, seller pays the costs - in the transfer of the Dixon property, she only pays the taxes. Roll Call: "AYES:. All NAYS: None Motion Carried ~O~dinance Passed Mr. Relic stated that he would be out of town after February 5th and the monies, to purchase these properties woi~ald be put in escrow. Permit Fee Increase - Still under study by the Finance Committee. . GENERAL COMMENTS- Building Department - Mr. Amendola, on behalf of the Service Department, • thanked Council for the purchase of properties to house the new service buildings. Mr. Bennett thanked Council for trier unanimous vote re the acquisition: of the properties. -" Mr. Flynn"commended Mr. Bennett for".undertaking such a large. work. load for the Finance Committee.. -~ Mayor Beebe stated tpi."at Ij.e had pffered the .position of representative to MARC and serving as a member of the Recreation Board to Miss Carol Trask who is giving it consideration.
