~. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs.., Bennett, Busa, Flynn and Mrs. Hanus <br />NAYS: None <br />ABSTAIN: Messrs., Boger, Bordonaro, Grogan <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />MAi'OR'S COMMENTS: <br />Mayor Beebe asl~ed Council to take note to Cheif Stevens;_new uniform; he <br />was pleased with the 'resu'lts of 'the Safety Meeting held ~:nd'hoped Council <br />would s.ee the need for 24 hour dispatching in the Police Department; the <br />two new patrolmen for the Police Department will be unofficially acknow- <br />ledged at the next Caucus so there train~.~fng can begin anci will officially <br />be sworn in at the next regular meeting; it had been brought to his <br />attention that by Ordinance there is a.tieed for a Volunteer Firemen's <br />T~ependents Fund Board and asked Messrs., Flynn and Bennett to serve on this <br />~3oard. Both agreed to serve. Also, the Mayor stated he had received .notice <br />from Mayor Kucinich that the City of Cleveland have authorized the Water <br />Department to levy a maintenance charge to all water customers., <br />Mr. Relic stated that; the fee was to cover the maintenance crews and the <br />cost per customer is.reasonable at $3.75 quarterly.- <br />Mr. Amendola questioned the expense the bLillage incurs when fixing the <br />streets after the maintenance crews supposedly have finished. <br />Mr. Relic stated that the Village 'would be reinbursed if the work is <br />authorized first by the Water Department. <br />COUNCIL .PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS: <br />No Comments. <br />STANDARD' COMMITTEE REPORTS: ' <br />Budget/Appropreations - Mr. Bennett stated a meeting would .be held to dis- <br />cuss the Budget and the matter of sick leave that's before the committee. <br />He requested that the Department Heads be in attendance. <br />Discussion was held with the meeting set for Wednesday, March 7, 1979 at <br />8:00 P .M. <br />Due to the anticipated lack of a quorum at the next meeting, Mr. Relic <br />requested the Budget~be considered this evening and any changes that. had . <br />to be made could be passed as an amendment to the Ord.inance`at a later <br />date. Mr. Bennett commented that a few items had to be clarified and <br />perhaps~:no amendments would be necessary. Council agreed to consider the <br />Ordinance this evening. <br />Ordinance 79-9, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE <br />CURRENT AND OTHER EXPENSES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE OHIO FOR THE YEAR 1979, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.," Introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />
