~~ Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a.motion to suspend the rules of law requiring an~~~ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. oll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Relic stated that the Budget/Appropriations Committee and the Finance Director had spent a lot of time and put much effort into making a work- abel budget. This budget has an increase of 14.5/ over last year due to escalated costs due to inflation and imppoved services to the people of the Village. Mr. Busa noted that page four of the ordinance does not carry an "emergency clause" that will be inserted before it is signed. Mrs Bennett, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to pass~Ordinance 79-9. Roll Call: AYES: All NAY5: None Motion Carried Ordinance .P assed Public Safety - Mr. Flynn .commented on the meeting held on .January 29th and February 13th. Items covered were: new ambulance, and additional full-time fireman, Police .24-hour dispatching; Bell Boys for Police Chief and Detective Bureau, Street Striping, New .Cars for Building Commissioner and Fire Chief, additional Service Dept. employee, and an in-house mechanic. Public Service and Public Utilities - No Report Architectural Review Board - Mr: Amendola reported on .the Special Meeting. held on the 5th of February to interview the four Architectural Firms who had submitted resumes to do the proposed Service Building. The firms are in the p~~ocess of submitting their cost analysis of the project: The Architectural Board will meet .later this month and.wi7,l make a.recommenda- tion to .Council at the next Caucus Meeting of the 27th. .Mayfield Village will serve as control managers instead of having a General Contractor., wh~eh will mean a great savings, to the Village., _ Discussion was held .regarding the costs, involved~wi~th Mr. Relic commenting that a Million Dollar Budget had been set for the proposed three buildings. Mr. Amendola stated that the Building Department is doing a cost analysis of the building themselves and will be comparing it ~t~the ones submited by the Architect Firms. Cemetery - Mr. ,Bordonaro thanked Mr. Relic .for having .forwarded the check for the Vi:llage's dues of $300.00. Council of Councils - No Report. Planning & Zoning - Mrs. Hanus reported on the meeting of February 12th. Concept approval had ,been given to.the Village's new Service Building..
