~~ <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a.motion to suspend the rules <br />of law requiring an~~~ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />oll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Relic stated that the Budget/Appropriations Committee and the Finance <br />Director had spent a lot of time and put much effort into making a work- <br />abel budget. This budget has an increase of 14.5/ over last year due to <br />escalated costs due to inflation and imppoved services to the people of <br />the Village. <br />Mr. Busa noted that page four of the ordinance does not carry an "emergency <br />clause" that will be inserted before it is signed. <br />Mrs Bennett, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to pass~Ordinance 79-9. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAY5: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance .P assed <br />Public Safety - Mr. Flynn .commented on the meeting held on .January 29th <br />and February 13th. Items covered were: new ambulance, and additional <br />full-time fireman, Police .24-hour dispatching; Bell Boys for Police Chief <br />and Detective Bureau, Street Striping, New .Cars for Building Commissioner <br />and Fire Chief, additional Service Dept. employee, and an in-house mechanic. <br />Public Service and Public Utilities - No Report <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr: Amendola reported on .the Special Meeting. <br />held on the 5th of February to interview the four Architectural Firms <br />who had submitted resumes to do the proposed Service Building. The firms <br />are in the p~~ocess of submitting their cost analysis of the project: The <br />Architectural Board will meet .later this month and.wi7,l make a.recommenda- <br />tion to .Council at the next Caucus Meeting of the 27th. .Mayfield Village <br />will serve as control managers instead of having a General Contractor., <br />wh~eh will mean a great savings, to the Village., _ <br />Discussion was held .regarding the costs, involved~wi~th Mr. Relic commenting <br />that a Million Dollar Budget had been set for the proposed three buildings. <br />Mr. Amendola stated that the Building Department is doing a cost analysis <br />of the building themselves and will be comparing it ~t~the ones submited <br />by the Architect Firms. <br />Cemetery - Mr. ,Bordonaro thanked Mr. Relic .for having .forwarded the check <br />for the Vi:llage's dues of $300.00. <br />Council of Councils - No Report. <br />Planning & Zoning - Mrs. Hanus reported on the meeting of February 12th. <br />Concept approval had ,been given to.the Village's new Service Building.. <br />
