<br />Board of Appeals - No Report. <br />Recreation - Mayor Beebe said caution should be taken when enrolling <br />children for the summer programs. Hidden costs are incurred and out-=-~ <br />siders should be discouraged. <br />MARC - Mayor Beebe stated he had asked the Rec:~eatiori Director to ask the <br />Board to select a delegate to serve on MARL. <br />Heinen's - Mr. Amendola commented the stell structure is up but nothing <br />else can be done until warmer weather. <br />OLD BUSINESS• <br />SOM CENTER FLOOD.CONTROL/FEDERAL AND STATE FUND PROCUREMENT -. Mr. Hovancsek <br />stated that a meeting will be held tomorrow morning with NOACA at 1501 <br />Euclid Avenue, 10:00 A®M®, one at 8:00 P.M. at the Beachwood Marriot INNU <br />I-27.1 and-.C.hagrin Blvd. tomorrow evening and a third one on February 21st <br />of 3:00 P.M. at the NOACA office at 1501 Euclid Avenue. He would ..be..attend- <br />ing these meetings at the Mayor's request and anyone wishing to also attend <br />is welcome. The three different Committees doing the interviewing will <br />make their recommendations of whether or not the Village shou~ld,be entitled <br />to the funding by March 7, 1979. <br />Mr. Bennett questioned what.NOACA has to do with the Village receiving <br />Federal Funding. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated that NOACA is acting as a clearing house. <br />Mr. Bennett questioned if our belongingsto NOACA would effect our chances <br />in getting the funds. <br />Discussion was-held faith Mayor Beebe .stating that if the gran~ing.of these <br />funds hinges on our.beng.members of~NOACA.then sometpz~ng is wrong with <br />the system.- <br />Mr. Relic said NOACA is funded by the government and the dues only covers <br />the mailings. Mr. Feneli confirmed that the dues would-not be.a deciding <br />factor. .,~ . <br />Mr. Bennett felt .the dues should.'be paid. if being a member might.enhance,~ <br />our getting the ,grant since it is only a few-hundred dollars and you could <br />be gambling for $300;000,00. <br />Arco Property - Mr. Feneli Mated he had talked to the attorney for the <br />Greer's who has not been able to ge:t-~~in touch with them as they awe vacaton- <br />ing in a motorhome. Mr. Fenel.i~did-learn that an appraisal is being.done <br />on the property by a local appr..aiser. He stated that.Mr. Avery 'would like <br />Council to consider an extention on the time limit as set in Resolution 79-5 .. <br />Discussion was held with Mr. Bordonaro suggesting the property no~be taken <br />off the tac duplicate.
