~~ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield . <br />March 19, 1979 <br />The Council fo the Village fo Mayf-field met in regular session on <br />Monday, March 19, 1979 at 8:10 P.M. in the.Village Hall. Council <br />President, Vince Busa presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the `lag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn <br />Grogan and Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent: Mr. Boger <br />Also Present Were: Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola~,'.. Avery, Feneli, <br />Foltz, Hovancsek, Relic, Chief Hc.jel and Chief <br />Stevens <br />OPEN PORTION' <br />Mr. Albert Judge, 1577 Parker Drive, Ma~Tfield Heights, Ohio, former <br />mayor in the 20's, 30's and 40's and presently Program Chairman of <br />the Mayfield Township Historical Society. He stated. that he was <br />at the meeting to incite the Mayor and Cour_cil to do him a bid favor <br />and attend the Historical Society's November 14th meeting. Photos <br />will be taken to go into their history books. With Councils permission, <br />the meeting will be held in the Village Hall at 8:00 P.M. A <br />formal letter of invitation will be forthcomri~ng. <br />Council and .Mayor Beebe agreed. <br />There being no further ..comments, that portion fo the meeting ,closed. <br />MAJOR"'.S~;COMMENTS: <br />Mayor Beebe stated that it <br />Police Department with the <br />bring the Department up to <br />tow men were selected, out <br />were reviewed by himself, <br />Friday evening. <br />is a happy event with the expansion to the <br />addition of two more Patrolmen which will <br />what it was four years ago - 13 men. These <br />of 17 candidates, after their backgrounds <br />~hief Stevens and Sergeant Smith last <br />Mr. Avery.adminstered theoath of office to: <br />Mr. John J. Delvillan <br />Mr .. Douglas J. Sulli~ran <br />Mayor Beebe asked Chief Stevens to issue their clothing allowance <br />checks that are ready for they. Mayor Beebe stated that Douglas <br />Sullivan has his required 300 hours in and will be on the road soon, <br />John Delvillan will be finished before long. Both have had Police <br />work experience. <br />
