~~ <br />Consideration of Minutes <br />Regular Council Meeting of February 19, 1979: <br />Discussion was held with correction to be made. <br />Mr. Bordo?~aro, seconded by Mr.:.:Bennett, made a motion to approve the <br />minutes of February 19, 1979 as- amended. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS:° None Motion Carried <br />- Minutes Appr-oved <br />Special Meeting of Council March 1, 1979 <br />Discussion was held with corrections to be made. <br />Mr..Grogan, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to approve the <br />minutes of March 1, 1979 as amended. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Corrections to be indicated and circulated to Council.. <br />Mayor'-s Comments continued: <br />Mayor Beebe stated he had recived a letter. fromt~~Nliss LiAyn Merk and <br />family thanking Karl Strasser for his azd when she had to be rushed <br />to the hospital. Karl had injured himself on the ambulance .run but <br />managed to hold up until the patient reached the hospital. He felt <br />Karl desrved this recognition and the letter would be circulated to <br />Council. <br />24=Hour Dispatching. Mayor Beebe said he would like this discussed <br />again tonight. It has been discussed for the last three to four years <br />and hoped Council feels this town is in nned of an open house 24 hours <br />a day and no.t closed doors at midnight. <br />A motion will ad a new fireman to the Department. Chief Hejcl had . <br />advised him that after this new man is added the Village will have <br />24-hour, in the building coverage. <br />L ast year the daytime fireworks was ~zery successful for the July 4th <br />celebration and asked Council to consider authorizing the expenditure <br />of $850.00 for fireworks which included the fee :charged ..for handling <br />the fireworks. A simple motion is all that is required. <br />Mr. Relic, Finance Director's Comments: (Due to the necessity of <br />Mr. Relic having to leave the meeting early, his comments were given) <br />
