.ri -`~ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield . <br />May 21, 1979 <br />The Council of the Uillac~e of Mayfield met in regular session on Monday, <br />May 21, 1979, at 8:05 P.M., in the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Vince Busa presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegience to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Boger, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and <br />Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent: None (Mr. Bordonaro resigned effective 5/7/79) <br />Also Present were:. Mayor Beebe, Gus Amendola, Steve Hovancsek, Dale <br />Feneli, Chief Hejcl and Chief Stevens <br />OPEN PORTION: <br />Mr. Julius Paris, One Public Square Brailding, Cleveland, Ohio 44113, stated <br />that he is obligated to put up four entrance markers to Beta Drive, two <br />at CnTilsmn Mi11s and two at S.O.M. Center. Plansaand bids have been secured <br />but he has been unable to get easement form the abutting property owners <br />to erect them. He would like Council's permission to place portions of <br />the marlters in the right-of-ways. He didn't feel any of the utilities <br />would be affected. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated that water and sanitary sewer lines are in the area. <br />Also, there's the possibility of a need for future sidewalks in these <br />areas. <br />Mr. Par is sated an allowance would be given for sidewalks on his pro- <br />perty. The bid for the construction was for $12,000.00 and in evidence <br />bf good faith he would be willing to place $15,000.00 in escrow for a <br />period of 90 days. If after 90 days, he and Council were unable to reach <br />a satisfacto~~-y arrangement for ,placement of these markers, ~'~r~n it would <br />be up to the Village to use the monies and have the work completed <br />themselves. <br />Mr. Busa asked Mr. Hovancsek and Mr. Amendola to work with Mr. P a~^is. <br />Mr. Relic_ar-r.ived.at this time, 8:20 P.M. <br />Mrs. Agatha Stanard, of 690 Echo Drive, on behalf of the other residents <br />of Echo Drive, had submitted a signed petition to the Mayor and Council <br />re the paving of the road. They wire dismayed by the Mayor's letter <br />indicating the required thickness would be 10". There are 17 homes on <br />this dead-end street and didn't feel these specifications are in line <br />withoother areas-in the Village which,-~>equired only 6". <br />Mr. Busa said the entire Council are elated that something is going to <br />be done with this road. They ..are aware of the light traffic but it must <br />
