5 <br />Mr. Jack Burke, of 6213 North Woodlane, said he still has not had <br />k~i~~ problem ,solved. He wanted to know what is going to be done. <br />For the last three months the.16" .tie wall and dirt is still there. <br />Mr. Amendola commented that Mr. Firodallisi has removed most of the <br />soil .with only one area no.t having the .original soil showing. The <br />work is`not completed on the buildigg and the man"cannot finish the <br />landscaping until that is finished. He is satisfied with the pro- <br />gress that is being made. <br />Mr. Hovancsek offered to re-shoot the grades if requested. <br />Mayor Beebe stated the correction was made re the Village's respon- <br />sibility and.will not condone the Village tax money being used for <br />private benefit. There is a narrow line between Village and Resident <br />responsibility. We ar.e not landscapers and even.~hough we would life <br />to do more the Village can only do so much. <br />Mr: Feneli stated that since Mr. Amendola has stated the work has <br />progressed to his satisfaction and Mr. Hovancsek should be able to <br />determine if the violation to the flood ordinances has been rectified. <br />He asked Mr. Hovancsek if it would be possible to determine the per- <br />centage of work completed. , <br />Mr. Hovancsek said it is close but not finished. ` <br />Mayor Beebe commented the right-of-way problem had been co~~ected <br />by the Village and any further problems were. not the Village's respon- <br />sibility. <br />Mr. Feneli stated the Mayor was correct and he believed., based on <br />Mr. Hovancsek's and Mr. Amendola's estatements,.tim~: and money ele- <br />ments have to be considered and Mr. Firodallisi is proceding in an <br />orderly fashion and if Mr. Burkes is not satisfied he has every right <br />to pursue the matter on his own with the. adjacent property owner. <br />Mr. Grogan stated we should finish this - it was in violation of the <br />flood ordinances and we (Council) assured him we would take care of <br />the matter: <br />Mayor Beebe. asked Mr. Hovancsek i.f•there was any doubt in his mind <br />about the grade and what the cost would be to check it out. <br />Mr. Hovancsek commented about $60.00. <br />Mr. Burkes said he would pay for the work if necessary. <br />Mr. Boger commented the matter is between two neighbors, Mr. Fiordalisi <br />should be expected to finish the work but if he's not finished with the <br />building, how can he be expected to complete. the landscaping. ~. <br />Mr. Hovancsek ~to re-shoot the grades.. <br />Mr. Burkes also stated Mr. Amendola had been on his property with a <br />back-hoe (with his permission) and had damaged the tree lawn. The <br />weeds are getting too high to mow. <br />
