1~~ <br />1 <br />Mr. Avery to draft new resolutions which would include smgnatures of all <br />Co~anci_lpeople. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS: <br />Mr. Busa urged support of the water suit assessment. <br />Mr. Grogan and Mr. Bennett were in agreement that Council should authorize <br />this assessment but refrain form future monies being spent. <br />Discussion was held on the Village's responsibility as f.ar as maintenance, <br />operation etc., of the water lines. Courts had already established the <br />prodedure to be taken. <br />Ordinance 79-56m entitled: "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL ASSESS- <br />MENT FOR PAYMENT OF LEGAL FEES TO THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY MAYOR'S ASSOCIATION <br />FOR THE CLEVELAND WATER SUTT." Introduced by Council: as a Whole <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.' <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion to pass Ordinance 79-56. <br />Roll Call: AYES: . All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Beebe stated that Mr. VanVliet was present and asked him to come <br />f.orwar~. t,o b,e sworn. in as,. a member of the Architectural Review Board. <br />Mr. Avery administered the oath of office to Mr. Robert VanVliet. <br />STANDARD COMMITTEE REPORTS.: .. <br />Budget/Appropriations - Mr. Bennett said that the Finance Committee met~~~on <br />August 6th with the Mayor present and a recommendation is being made to <br />Council that the Finance Director be authorized to, if feasible, include <br />the addition of anot'x~ter Police Officer in the new Budget. <br />Public Safety - Mr. Flynn urged the passing of an ordinance on the agenda <br />re the regulation of incinerators. <br />Public Service/Public Utilities - Mr. Flynn commented that Ordinance 79-51 <br />re Cable T.V-® Service is still under study by the committee. <br />
